There were four core members of the Choir, who went to the United Kingdom for all three of the years in which the Choir toured there. Obviously Ellis Jackson, as conductor/director was essential to the choir's activities; Harry Nation, the Choir's indefatigable pianist, was almost as essential; Carlton Bryan and Adeline McDermott were the Choir's two most popular soloists from the 1890's, and carried a major part of the singing load in the three years of the tour.
